These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services offered by J.G Greens, including but not limited to lawn care, landscaping, gardens, hardscape, seasonal cleanups, winter services, waterfront and cottage services, tree work, and specialty property services.

By using our website, submitting a service request, requesting a quote, approving a quote, or allowing work to commence, you agree to these Terms.

1. Website Use & Service Requests

Our website is provided for informational purposes and to allow customers to submit service inquiries or quote requests.

Submitting a form does not guarantee pricing, scheduling, or service availability
All requests are subject to review, confirmation, and acceptance by J.G Greens
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services at our discretion

2. Quotes, Estimates & Scope of Work

All quotes are estimates only unless confirmed in writing
Final pricing may change due to:
- Site conditions
- Access limitations
- Weather or seasonal factors
- Additional labour, materials, or services required
Changes to the scope of work may result in revised pricing

3. Payments

Payments are not accepted through our website
Payment terms (including deposits, balances, or due dates) will be communicated separately
By authorizing services, customers agree to pay the full amount owing for work completed

Failure to pay may result in late fees, service suspension, termination, or collection action where permitted by law.

4. Scheduling & Service Timing

All service dates and times are estimates and not guaranteed
Delays may occur due to weather, equipment availability, staffing, road access, or safety concerns
Seasonal and weather-dependent services are performed when conditions safely allow

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Reasonable notice is required for cancellations or changes
Late cancellations may result in a cancellation fee
Services canceled after dispatch, preparation, or material purchase may be billed partially or in full

6. Property Access & Customer Responsibilities

By requesting services, the customer confirms that:

J.G Greens is authorized to access the property
Pets are secured and hazards are disclosed
Service areas are reasonably clear of obstructions

We are not responsible for delays or incomplete service due to blocked access, unsafe conditions, or undisclosed hazards.

7. Property Damage, Risk & Site Conditions

Outdoor and property maintenance services involve inherent risks.

J.G Greens is not liable for damage to:

Lawns, turf, gardens, or landscaping
Curbs, asphalt, concrete, walkways, patios, or edging
Irrigation systems, lighting, drainage, underground utilities, or hidden items
Pre-existing damage or surface/ground conditions

Damage caused by severe weather, frozen ground, erosion, frost heave, soil conditions, or normal wear and tear is excluded unless proven negligence exists.

Service-Specific Terms (Addendums)

The following sections apply in addition to the general Terms above and are automatically accepted when corresponding services are requested.

8. Lawn Care & Routine Maintenance

(Applies to mowing, edging, blowing, fertilization, overseeding, aeration, and routine maintenance)

Grass growth, colour, and appearance vary due to weather and soil conditions
Wet or uneven ground may result in tire marks or turf disturbance
Results are influenced by mowing frequency selected by the customer

We are not responsible for lawn damage caused by drought, pests, disease, poor soil, irrigation issues, or unmarked obstacles.

9. Landscaping, Gardens & Hardscape

(Applies to garden beds, planting, mulch, topsoil, sod, hardscape, fencing, decks, and concrete work)

Plant survival is not guaranteed
Colour variation, settling, cracking, shifting, or movement of materials may occur over time
Hardscape installations may require curing periods and are affected by ground movement and frost

J.G Greens is not liable for plant loss, natural settling, cracking, or weather-related impacts.

10. Seasonal Cleanups

(Applies to spring/fall cleanups, leaf removal, final cuts, bed cleanups, and debris removal)

Not all debris may be visible at the time of service
Multiple visits may be required depending on seasonal conditions
Hidden objects may cause equipment damage and are the responsibility of the customer

11. Winter Services & Snow / Ice Management

(Applies to snow plowing, walkway clearing, driveway markers, snow relocation, and post-storm cleanups)

Services are weather-dependent and not preventative
Snow drifting, melting, refreeze, and ice formation may occur after service
Service timing is based on weather triggers, routing priorities, and safety

J.G Greens is not responsible for slip-and-fall incidents, refreeze conditions, or damage to curbs, lawns, decorative surfaces, or hidden obstacles.

12. Waterfront & Cottage Services

(Applies to dock services, shoreline work, cottage maintenance, and seasonal property care)

Access may be limited by terrain, weather, or water conditions
Waterfront environments carry additional risks

We are not responsible for shoreline changes, erosion, flooding, ice movement, or delays due to unsafe conditions.

13. Tree, Shrub & Specialty Services

(Applies to tree removal, trimming, winter wrapping, and specialty services)

Tree and shrub work involves inherent risk
Final shape, regrowth, and plant health cannot be guaranteed

J.G Greens is not liable for damage caused by hidden defects, root systems, underground utilities, or weather-related events.

14. Materials, Disposal & Additional Costs

Disposal fees, materials, and extra labour may result in additional charges
Unexpected conditions may require revised pricing
Approval may be verbal, written, or electronic

15. Health, Safety & Force Majeure

Services may be delayed or suspended due to unsafe conditions, emergencies, or events beyond our control including weather, equipment failure, supply shortages, or road closures.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, J.G Greens is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of use, loss of income, or delays beyond our control.

17. Communications & Consent

By providing your contact information, you consent to receiving service-related communications via phone, text, or email. Marketing communications may be opted out of at any time.

18. Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, images, and text are the property of J.G Greens and may not be reproduced without permission.

19. Updates to These Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated version.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable Canadian law.
